Paramount+ will finally be crossing the pond and landing in the UK this summer. The subscription service, which is home to shows like Star Trek: Discovery and 1883, is slowly expanding its global availability. As it moves into global markets, like the UK, it also plans to introduce international original series to its service while finally allowing international subscribers access to its current lineup.
News of Paramount+ arriving for UK audiences came during the ViacomCBS streaming event. This event shared the future goals for the company and revealed a ton of new and returning content making its way to the streaming service. However, it is the global expansion news that is making waves. This is largely due to issues that non-American fans have had with watching shows like Star Trek: Discovery.

According to GamesRadar, the fourth season of Star Trek: Discovery was rumored to launch in the UK alongside Paramount+. However, that didn’t come to fruition and with the series removed from Netflix, UK fans had no way to watch the Star Trek spinoff. Eventually, and after much outrage, streaming service Pluto TV picked up the show, allowing fans to finally catch up on the season. Now, with Paramount+ coming to the UK, the show will move hands once again and finally settle at Paramount+.
While there is no current date for Paramount+ UK debut beyond sometime this summer, this means that folks across the pond will be able to enjoy the slate of new movies and shows the streamer announced. One of the most anticipated shows coming to the service is the TV adaptation of Halo.
