PalWorld looks to be an ambitious Pokémon-inspired that dares to explore uncharted territory — giving Poémon guns. Pocketpair's open world survival title features cute creatures named Pals, who are similar in design and concept to Pokémon. However, PalWorld's latest gameplay trailer has clearly shown Pocketpair is willing to explore a fresher and more chaotic relationship between humans and their pet monsters.
PalWorld inherently differs from the mainline Pokémon series due to the game's genre. PalWorld is a multiplayer, open world game with survival and crafting elements. Of course, Pokémon has had some of these elements in past titles, and more recently Pokémon Legends: Arceus was semi-open world and Pokémon: Scarlet and Violet will have both co-op and and even larger environment to explore. PalWorld, conversely,appears to be its own beast entirely with a new spin on Pokémon-styled games.

However, what truly sets PalWorld apart from Pokémon — and what makes it so daring — is that Pals will use and fight against guns. Both the player and Pals use weapons to fight with and against each other in PalWorld. This major change to the Pokémon formula creates an entirely new dynamic between people and their pet monster in PalWorld that is at once hilarious and chaotic.
