Overwatch fans have come up with plenty of stunning art pieces over the years, regularly sharing their creations online. While plenty of Overwatch heroes have gotten some love, the latest art piece goes all in on Mercy, highlighting her massive lineup of alternate skins.
Alongside Tracer, Mercy has been called out by the Overwatch fan base as a character that has far too many skins. With the former being the game’s mascot and the latter having a unique character design that easily serves as a template for special outfits, this is not too surprising. Mercy is also an extremely popular hero that serves as a gateway to the Support role, adding to the logic behind her receiving so many skins. While not everyone is happy about Mercy getting so many cosmetics, it has led to plenty of subject material for a special painting.
Overwatch Fan Shares Incredible LEGO Tracer Animation
The Overwatch fan art was shared by Reddit user themalcontentedgent, and it has a neat little story behind it. Apparently, the piece was made by their friend’s wife as a gift, as they knew the Redditor was a huge fan of Mercy. The painting sees an incredible 25 skins against a white background, and a minimalist style sees Mercy’s face being left out. Given how small each skin must be to fit onto the painter’s canvas, this was a wise decision, and each of Mercy’s varied hairstyles are still captured in the artwork.
The first row of the artwork focuses on Mercy’s basic recolors, which are variants of her original outfit.
