The original voice actors behind some of Nickelodeon’s most iconic characters will be returning to their roles in an update patch for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl. The popular cartoon channel’s answer to Super Smash Bros. launched across multiple platforms last October and features a colorful line-up of Saturday morning mainstays battling in quirky, platform-based match-ups. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl gained a reasonably warm reception from gamers and animation fans due to how well it captured the classic Super Smash Bros. formula, encouraging companies like Warner Bros to follow with similar multiplayer brawlers like the upcoming MultiVersus.
However,Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl isn't without perceived shortcomings, as while the overall gameplay mechanics are solid, All-Star Brawl hasn't offered the polish and variety of similar mascot-based fighting games. Specifically, the lack of voice acting for Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s eclectic cast of characters stands out. The overall absence of voices and catchphrases from Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl’s combatants made the game feel quiet and empty, but thankfully this won’t be an issue for much longer.
