Oppo on Monday, January 16 launched its first phone of the year in India named Oppo A78 5G. The device has been launched under the budget segment with a price tag of Rs. 18999. The Oppo A78 5G will be available for purchase from January 18. You will also be able to avail up to 10 percent cashback on banks like ICICI Bank, SBI, Bank of Baroda, among others. Oppo A78 5G draws power from MediaTek's Dimensity 700 chipset and comes in two colour options- Glowing Black and Glowing Blue. The Oppo A78 5G features a 6.5-inch LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone also supports extended RAM. The phone is equipped with a dual rear camera setup which includes a main 50-megapixel AI camera.

The Oppo A78 5G ships with Android 13-based ColorOS 13 and houses a 5000mAh battery with 33W SUPERVOOC fast charging. As per the information provided by the company, in 30 minutes 52 percent battery can be charged, while it will take 67 minutes to charge the device completely. Notably, Oppo recently launched the A78 5G in Malaysia too with the same set of specifications.

Meanwhile, it can be known that Oppo had recently launched a special edition of its Reno 8 Pro 5G in collaboration with Warner Bros. This limited edition device is based on the TV series named ‘House of Dragon' and it is named as the “Dragon Limited Edition Set". The special edition smartphone is priced at Rs. 45999.
