OnePlus is rolling out a new version of its OxygenOS 12 software for the OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro because the earlier build was so bad it had to be pulled. Like most smartphone businesses not named Apple, OnePlus uses Android as the basis of its operating system, though with a series of customizations. These include a Shelf, a tool for quickly accessing certain features, and Zen Mode, which lets users lock themselves out of all but the most important apps for a set period.
