One Piece Odyssey will launch in January 2023, it has been revealed at Tokyo Game Show. Published by Bandai Namco and developed by ILCA, One Piece Odyssey is a turn-based RPG and the latest game set in the same universe as the beloved manga and anime One Piece. It will see the Straw Hats go on a new adventure with characters that don't appear in the manga but have been designed by its creator Eiichiro Oda.
News around One Piece Odyssey was mostly scarce following a new gameplay trailer shown at Summer Game Fest. However, fans were expecting more from the game at Tokyo Game Show, especially after Bandai Namco announced that it would be hosting a showcase at the event. So far, only some small reveals have been made around what the game will include, with only the nine Straw Hat Pirates being confirmed characters for One Piece Odyssey.
One Piece Odyssey Confirms Next Big Reveal Date
At the Bandai Namco event as part of this year's Tokyo Game Show, it was announced that One Piece Odyssey would be coming to consoles and PC on January 13, 2023. When the game was revealed earlier in 2022, it was believed that One Piece Odyssey would have a 2022 release date. While January 2023 is a bit later than fans expected, the announced launch doesn't miss the mark by a lot, and many are still excited for the upcoming JRPG. Previously One Piece games have crossed numerous genres, from fighting titles to VR experiences.
