One Piece Odyssey Confirmed for Summer Game Fest
gamerant.comAs the acclaimed One Piece manga continues, many eagerly await the arrival of One Piece Odyssey, the recently announced anime JRPG by Bandai Namco. Fortunately, Bandai Namco is preparing to share news about One Piece Odyssey later this week.
Summer Game Fest features a wealth of trailers, gameplay footage, and updates on previously announced games. Show host Geoff Keighley confirmed the June 9 showcase runs for nearly 2 hours with a few surprises and new reveals. This year's iteration of Summer Game Fest strikes in the absence of E3 2022 as over 30 partners are on board for the event. Some of these major partners include SEGA, Bandai Namco, Activision, 2K, Capcom, Steam, Netflix, and PlayStation.

On behalf of Bandai Namco, Keighley announced One Piece Odyssey will be present during the Summer Game Fest showcase. One Piece Odyssey is labeled as one of the «world premieres» coming soon and the showcase will provide an exclusive early look into the JRPG. One Piece Odyssey appears to be the first game confirmed by Bandai Namco for the 2022 edition of Summer Game Fest. More games from participating partners will be announced leading up to the Summer Game Fest showcase on June 9.
In One Piece Odyssey, the Straw Hat Pirates led by Monkey D. Luffy are heading on a brand-new adventure with an original story. The JRPG features new characters and enemies designed by the legendary manga author, Eiichiro Oda. In addition, Tales of series and Dark Souls series composer Motoi Sakuraba lends his musical expertise to the official soundtrack of One Piece Odyssey.
