Aaron Taylor-Johnson was hospitalized after shooting a stunt for the action film Bullet Train. Taylor-Johnson is known for his roles in Kick-Ass, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Savages, and Nocturnal Animals, the latter of which won him a Golden Globe for his performance. He'll be featured in the ensemble cast of Bullet Train, which also includes Brad Pitt, Joey King, Brian Tyree Henry, Hiroyuki Sanada, Michael Shannon, and Sandra Bullock.
Bullet Train follows Ladybug (Pitt) an American assassin whose tasked with retrieving a suitcase from the titular bullet train in Japan and dealing with all the other assassins who get in his way. The film is directed by David Leitch, known for directing Atomic Blonde, Deadpool 2, and Hobbs & Shaw. Early reviews for Bullet Trainhave been mixed to positive, with critics complimenting the performances and the action sequences while criticizing the story and lack of depth.

In an interview with Variety, Taylor-Johnson talks about the incident that required his hospitalization. He talks about how while filming a stunt, he hit a piece of scenery that wasn't padded, then passed out as he landed. Taylor-Johnson didn't immediately realize the extent of his injury, asking if they could do the take again, before being told that he needed to go to the hospital for stitches and stay overnight for observation.
