Skating game OlliOlli World is getting a special celebrity guest to hand out quests for players when it launches next week: Danny Trejo. The 77-year-old actor has gained a legendary following among cult movie fans for his many roles in films like Grindhouse and Machete, along with TV appearances in shows like The Flash and Rick And Morty. Most recently, Danny Trejo appeared in the Disney Plus Star Wars spin-off series The Book Of Boba Fettas a grizzled Rancor keeper that provides the titular bounty hunter-turned-crime boss with a new pet to replace the one that was killed in Return Of The Jedi.
Danny Trejo has also lent his distinct raspy voice to many video games over the years, dating back to his first virtual supporting role as a villainous enforcer in 2004’s Def Jam: Fight for NY. From there, Trejo’s voice and likeness were used for the Cuban gang leader Umberto Robina in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and its 2006 spin-off Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories, he appeared as Raul Alfonso Tejada in Fallout: New Vegas, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 players could even take control of him in the 2019 FPS’s Battle Royale mode. Danny Trejo’s most recent video game role was in the Far Cry 6: Danny and Dani vs. Everybody DLC, where he teams up with playable character Dani to seek revenge on Antón Castillo after the tyrant’s army refuses to let him make tacos to feed the needy. Many of Danny Trejo’s onscreen roles are those of shady criminals or well-meaning individuals with a dark and violent past, so the cult icon’s latest gaming appearance might take fans by surprise.
