The player known as Westham recently eliminated the popular YouTuber C Engineer, claiming the biggest ever bounty in Old School RuneScape, no less than 16 billion gold pieces. The content creator was in the middle of a Hardcore Iron Man run at the time, something which had been ongoing for nearly two years.
C Engineer was playing the game on a Hardcore Iron Man account. This means they were unable to interact or even trade with other players, being forced to find all of their items and supplies on their own. Players with a Hardcore Iron Man account begin Old School RuneScape with a special icon, a symbol which disappears if they die. C Engineer was only ever found in player-versus-player worlds.

The streamer became notorious for inviting any and all players to challenge them in combat, going so far as to place a bounty on their own head. The many followers of C Engineer would frequently donate in-game currency, driving up the bounty to increasingly substantial sums of money, an amount that eventually came to more than 16 billion gold pieces. "This series could end at any point and if you are the one to kill my Hardcore Iron Man, you will receive the bounty," C Engineer said in a video shortly after creating their account.
Players have been trying to take down C Engineer ever since the streamer created their Hardcore Iron Man account, but the moment of truth came when a group led by Westham surrounded the streamer as they were fighting a boss called Zulrah, cutting off all of their possible escape routes.
