Ola Electric is gearing up to announce a new variant of the S1 scooter that is expected to start from as low as Rs. 80000. While that could be a big deal to a lot of potential electric scooter buyers, the existing owners of Ola S1 Pro and Ola S1 are also in for a treat. Earlier this year, Ola Electric updated its scooter to the Move OS 2 version, introducing several new features and enhancing the OS performance. Now, Ola is ready to release the Move OS 3 update for the Ola S1 Pro and Ola S1 scooters.
The update is expected to be released during Diwali and it could take time before the update reaches all existing customers. With Move OS 3, owners of the Ola S1 Pro will be getting lots of new features to play with. The Ola S1 will only get some of those new features and it remains to be seen what it misses out on.
With the Move OS 3 update, the Ola S1 Pro is expected to get features such as proximity unlock, moods, hill-hold, regenerative braking version two, calling, key sharing, and hyper charging. Additionally, Ola Electric CEO, Bhavish Aggarwal has teased voice commands to access features such as navigation, music, and more.
With this update, the Ola S1 Pro should finally be getting to offer all of its hardware based features. Most riders could be excited to see the hypercharging feature, which will allow them to quickly top-up the battery at Ola's own fast chargers. Hill hold will be another good feature for those who drove around in hilly areas.
Other than the Move OS 3 update, Ola Electric is also launching a new variant of the Ola S1 scooter. This model is expected to cost lower than the Ola S1, and rumours suggest a starting price as low as Rs. 80000.
