Darth Vader and Obi-Wan's battle in Obi-Wan Kenobi episode 6 was an epic moment, but it was missing one key ingredient that could have made it even better. Seeing the former Jedi Anakin Skywalker (Hayden Christensen) go up against Obi-Wan Kenobi (Ewan McGregor) once again was special, especially for people who enjoyed George Lucas' prequel trilogy. However, while it was a great sequence, Anakin and Obi-Wan's reunion could have been even better with one change.
Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi first battled in Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith. That fight was on the lava planet Mustafar and was set to the fantastic score of John Williams, with a track called «Battle of the Heroes.» The music also bled into a fight between Yoda and Emperor Sheev Palpatine, which eventually shifted into the track «Duel of the Fates,» the famous score which accompanied Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon Jinn's fight against Darth Maul in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. Obi-Wan Kenobi generally distanced itself from using Williams' score, though composer Natalie Holt did sample other themes, such as Princess Leia's motif, «The Imperial March,» and the Force theme.

Not using «Battle of the Heroes» in the rematch between Darth Vader and Obi-Wan was a mistake. Had the piece been used, it could have elevated the excitement and tension within the scene and made a direct callback to Revenge of the Sith. The battle was an incredibly emotional moment, with both McGregor and Christensen selling the intense feelings that Vader and Obi-Wan felt for one another.
