Nothing Phone (1) or Apple iPhone SE 3rd Gen? We have already reviewed the iPhone SE 3 and we had mixed opinions on this phone. Apple’s entry-level smartphone for the masses has been lifted straight from 2017 and other than the iPhone experience, the iPhone SE hasn’t got much else to offer. The iPhone SE 3 had still managed to impress with a few things and for gamers on a budget, this is an excellent deal, considering the blistering fast A15 Bionic chip.
Then comes the Nothing Phone (1) – a much-hyped midrange Android phone from a new brand that wants to make a mark. With its fancy arrangement of LED lights and some good midrange specs, the Nothing Phone (1) has caught everyone’s attention. While we haven’t got the phone in our hands yet, we though of comparing the specs and find out which one has an advantage. And as with the iPhone SE, it has always been one-sided.
Both phones have glass and aluminium combo builds but they look light years apart! The iPhone SE looks exactly like the iPhone 6 from 2014 with its thick bezels and a Home button. The Nothing Phone (1) looks futuristic with its transparent rear showing the Glyph LED lights, and an edge-to-edge display at the front. It has even got the trendy flat sides.
The iPhone SE 3 gets you a 4.7-inch LCD display with 60Hz refresh rate. The Nothing Phone (1) has a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Apple A15 Bionic from the iPhone 13 powers the iPhone SE 3 whereas the Nothing Phone (1) uses a rather midrange Snapdragon 778G+ chipset. You get to choose between 64GB, 128GB and 256GB storage on the iPhone SE, whereas the Nothing lets you choose between 8GB and 12GB RAM, as well as 128GB and 256GB storage.
