Nintendo has officially announced Fire Emblem Engage for Nintendo Switch, with a January 20, 2023 release date.
A noted Nintendo insider previously claimed that the new series entry has been “finished for over a year”.
According to Emily Rogers, the game was originally intended to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the series, which was in 2020.

The game is reportedly a “collaboration between Intelligent Systems, Koei Tecmo and Gust (a division of Koei Tecmo Holdings)”, and the graphics are said to be “an improvement over Three Houses”.
The game will also reportedly have an ‘Emblems’ feature which lets players summon Fire Emblem characters from the past, another nod to its original purpose as a 30th anniversary celebration.
