Nintendo has launched a completely redone online storefront with today's debut of the new My Nintendo Store. Previously, there was no simple one-stop-shop for Nintendo products, with a limited amount of merchandise and hardware separate from customer rewards. It's shaping up to be a big year for Nintendo, who recently announced a slew of upcoming releases at a Nintendo Direct presentation.
Nintendo's online retail options have typically been largely segmented, with a strong focus on digital sales over physical. While the company has had a My Nintendo rewards program for years, where players could earn Gold and Platinum Points for their purchases and completing tasks on the My Nintendo app, rewards were often sub-par and hard to find. While merchandise and hardware were sold on one site, My Nintendo rewards were relegated to a different site entirely. Purchasing games from Nintendo's website also offered no benefits over buying them directly from the Switch console's eShop, as the store only offered digital copies of games.

A new report by NintendoLife outlines the features on the new American site, calling the overhaul "a big step up on the region's previous offering." The new My Nintendo Store features much cleaner navigation than its predecessor, with defined sections clearly outlined by tabs.
