While it didn’t live up to its potential as a force in the gaming space, still has a fanbase that enjoys logging in and roughing up robotic goons as their favorite superheroes. Square Enix and developer Crystal Dynamics have continued to support the game with new missions and plenty of MCU-related skins, and there’s more content on the horizon. They’re also continually stomping out bugs and addressing issues that inevitably come up alongside content updates in a live-service game. Today’s update is in the latter category, addressing plenty of multiplayer hiccups as well as a few problems with specific breeds of hero loot.
The full patch notes from the official website are located below, but there are some points that pop out more than others. There was one problem where Thor’s mighty hammer would deal no damage whenever he was wearing gear imbued with the sonic status effect, but that is no longer the case. The same can be said for an issue with some of Ms. Marvel’s signature attacks not inflicting any status effects. On the art side of things, a few minor issues with Kate Bishop’s hair color and Hawkeye’s sword clipping through his foot are now cleaned up.
Today’s patch launched simultaneously across PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and Google Stadia. As for more major updates, one the next characters rumored to be added to the roster is She-Hulk, an addition that will likely coincide with Jennifer Walter’s addition to the MCU via her self-titled Disney+ show. Until then, fans can purchase Iron Man’s costume from before diving back into their favorite mission on the War Table.
