Nioh developer Team Ninja has released a demo for its upcoming Soulslike Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, letting players on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series try the new game early.
Pubkisher Koei Tecmo announced the news during Tokyo Game Show, and industry insider Nibel (below) confirmed that the demo is available to download across the world now.
While the full game will also be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, the demo is restricted to just the two next-generation consoles.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is set in a darker version of China's Three Kingdom period and is promised to be just as challenging as other Souls game and, specifically, Team Ninja's two Nioh games. Producer Fumihiko Yasuda previously told IGN that "Wo Long is more massive in scale compared to our previous games set in Japan, which allowed us to show a more severe and dark world.
"The same can be said for the difficulty. There’s no doubt this will be an extremely challenging and demanding game, but we’ve come up with new ways to approach that difficulty."
It was first announced back in June at the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase, with a new gameplay trailer in August showing more of the game in action. The game therefore appears fairly far along, evidenced further by the demo being released today, and it's expected to be released in the second quarter of 2023.
