Ever since Sonic Frontiers was first teased in May 2021, fans have had plenty of questions about the blue blur's latest adventure. The game has slowly revealed itself over the time since, but players still weren't given the whole picture. As part of Gamescom, the newest Sonic the Hedgehog title has finally given fans a bigger idea of which what kind of world they'll explore and what secrets await them.
During Gamescom Opening Night Live, a new trailer for Sonic Frontiers was revealed that aimed to make fans excited over the game's release date. However, hours before the presentation, the official Japanese Sonic YouTube channel accidentally leaked the date early. Even still, the Gamescom trailer helps confirm that fans worldwide can expect to have Sonic Frontiers in their hands on November 8.

The world premiere didn't stop at just the release date, though, as the trailer shines light on the Cyber Space levels of Sonic Frontiers. These levels were only briefly shown in a Nintendo Direct and praised by those who experienced hands-on previews of the game at Summer Game Fest. It's made clear in the new gameplay that these levels are aiming to use familiar classic Sonic zones as their inspiration.
The trailer also lives up to it's title as Frontiers' «Story Trailer» as elements of the game fans only heard about through interviews can finally be seen in action through what may be in-game cutscenes.
