McFarlane Toys has unveiled its latest DC Build-A Wave batch, centered around the iconic DC Comics event Green Lantern: Blackest Night, which ran from 2009 to 2010 and was written by Geoff Johns with art by Ivan Reis. The new Wave 8 figures are available for pre-order through Entertainment Earth. Blackest Night begins as the War of Light erupts among the Lantern Corps and invokes an ancient prophecy that goes beyond the Guardians. With the help of Black Power Rings, the dead begin to rise and feed on the emotions of the living.
