The fifth chapter of Never Alone is an interesting one because it takes place inside the body of a whale. If you skip the cutscenes, you'd probably never release that because the environment doesn't look like the inside of a body. Instead, it resembles an icy underground cavern.

However, regardless of how it looks, you need to find your way out of the place. The only option is to swim to the top of the creature and escape through the blowhole. Yet, to get up there, you're going to need more water. Here's how to flood the whale and complete the chapter in the process.
After the opening cutscene that shows Nuna and the fox getting swallowed by a giant whale, the characters find themselves in a body of water.
So the first thing you must do is swim up to the surface. Get out of the water to the left and break the ice blocking the path using the Bola. On the other side of the obstacle is the first Cultural Insight of the level, which you automatically collect when you pass.
Dive into the next body of water you come across and swim around to the left, so you can get on the middle platform. From there, use the Bola to break the ice off of the two walls on either side of you.
Now, switch to the fox and wall jump onto the first spirit. Let the being lower so that you can climb on with Nuna. Then do the exact same thing with the second spirit, which enables you to reach the ledge on the right. When you get there, shoot the giant wall of ice above you multiple times to destroy it and unleash more water.
