The inspirational sports drama series Swagger has officially been green-lit for a season 2 on Apple TV+. Inspired by experiences from NBA legend Kevin Durant’s adolescence, Swagger showcases the hardship players, their families, and coaches face in the competitive world of youth basketball. With a focus both on and off the court, the dynamic series is from creator, showrunner, and director Reggie Rock Bythewood, who is also an executive producer on the project along with Durant. Having premiered on Apple TV+ in October, the first season of Swagger consisted of 10 episodes, with no word on the future of the series, until now.
Apple TV+ has now announced that Swagger has officially been picked up for a second season. The series showrunner, Bythewood, commented on the exciting future of the sports drama series. Check out his full comment below:
I’m excited to share more of the beautifully complicated lives of these incredible characters. In season two, they will search and discover what it means to be a champion on and off the court, and the basketball playing will continue to be groundbreaking. We are grateful to Apple TV+ for the platform.
