Naruto Art Makes A Fan-Favorite Ninja Unrecognizable With One Change
It's no understatement to say that Naruto is one of the largest and most well-known manga series in the world. Not only does the series tell an emotionally gripping story, but it also features a colorful and iconic cast of characters. Hinata Hyuga is one of the main characters and is well known for her relationship with Naruto. Artwork found online changes one small detail about her, and it is major enough to make her look like a completely different character.
Being part of the Hyuga clan, Hinata sports the Byakugan in both of her eyes. The Byakugan is an ocular jutsu that allows the user to see through walls and objects in nearly 360 degrees, as well as chakra points and currents. the Byakugan is a powerful jutsu, with one small weakness. The Byakugan appears in its users' eyes as a large off-white iris with very faint pupils.

On the second slide of an Instagram post, user uchihakyubi reimagines Hinata to show what she would look like if she had normal eyes instead of her Byakugan, and she almost becomes a different character. Instead of the cloudy white irises of the Byakugan, Hinata is shown with bright blue eyes and a clearly defined pupil. It really shows how drastic and important eyes are to character design because not only does Hinata look like someone else in the picture, but each shot adds an extra layer of emotional intensity to her. One can clearly tell what she is thinking or feeling just by looking at her eyes, rather than that being completely ambiguous.
