MultiVersus Is Adding a Gremlins Character Next Week

With all the IPs owned by Warner Bros. at its disposal, MultiVersus has a lot of crossover potential, perhaps even enough to match that of Super Smash Bros. Fans were immediately aware of the wacky crossovers they'd be seeing in MultiVersus from the game's first trailer, which showed iconic characters like Bugs Bunny and Harley Quinn battling it out on cartoonish stages. But with only 18 characters available at the time of writing, there's certainly some space for MultiVersus to expand its roster of fighters.

In a new teaser posted to MultiVersus' Twitter account, the platform fighter has surprised fans by revealing that it is planning the release of a new character. From the 20-second video posted to the game's Twitter and its caption referencing a «little, fluffy surprise,» many believe that a Gremlins crossover is coming to MultiVersus in the form of a new fighter. While this was previously confirmed on the MultiVersus'Season 1 loading screen, players didn't know when they'd be getting a look at the new character. Now that has been confirmed as well, as it is coming to MultiVersus next Tuesday, September 6.

MultiVersus Next Character Could Be Coming Much Sooner Than Expected

While Stripe was the Gremlins character revealed on the Season 1 loading screen, due to the recent Twitter video showing off a cuter version of a Gremlin before someone applies water to it, some believe that it might be Gizmo coming to MultiVersus instead. However, it is believed that if two different Gremlins characters are coming to the title, they may be playable through one fighter. Still, for many it will be exciting to see an unexpected crossover making its way into MultiVersus so soon.

The Gremlins character wasn't expected to be added into the
