Ms. Marvel has accidentally continued Iron Man’s hidden legacy by featuring a running gag reminiscent of the Avenger's sense of humor. Long before Thanos' Infinity War snap wiped out half the universe and the multiverse brought new life to old superhero franchises, the first Iron Man movie marked the inception of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then, the superhero movieverse has trailed incredibly far — growing from strength to strength with smash hits like Avengers: Endgame, Spiderman: No Way Home, etc. Yet, the 2008 Iron Man is arguably touted as one of the franchise's best installments, with its titular character being among the most influential superheroes.
Part of the credit for Iron Man's success goes to Robert Downey Jr.'s acting forte and his ability to ingeniously inject aspects of his own personality into the character's mannerisms. Along with that, it is Iron Man's unpredictability, snarky humor, and tongue-in-cheek punchlines that make him distinctly endearing. His arrogance and, at times, even his virtues are not necessarily in line with those of most other superheroes, but it is these little shades of imperfections that make his presence known long after his departure from the MCU.

To Kamala's dismay, the funny moniker eventually becomes her widely accepted superhero name by the end of episode 2 because of how aptly it resembles her glossy superpowers.
