Motorola scales its flagship ambitions with the Edge 30 Pro at the moment but it wants to make that experience more accessible. Hence, we now have the Motorola Edge 30, a successor to the Edge 20 from last year. The new model looks fresh and comes with certain upgrades, and a few downgrades as well. The phone will be announced in several of Motorola's markets around the world, including India.
With a starting price of €450, the Motorola Edge 30 could end up rivalling the likes of the iPhone SE, Samsung Galaxy A53 5G, and a couple of midrange Android phones from Chinese brands. All of this is rendered on a 6.5-inch Full HD+ OLED display that supports 10-bit colours, HDR10+, and a refresh rate of 144Hz. This is flanked by a set of stereo speakers that get support for Dolby Atmos.
Lastly, the cameras on the Edge 30 see a big change. The main camera has a 50MP sensor with All-Pixel autofocus and OIS. Then there's a 50MP ultra-wide camera with 118-degree FIV and it works as a macro camera too. The third camera is no more a telephoto
