Last week, Nintendo released three demos. I already discussed what I thought of Sea of Stars. What did I think of the other two demos though? Let’s get into that.
Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe
I can’t remember if I played Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe on the Wii. I don’t think I did. I did play Epic Yarn, but it seems like I missed Return to Dreamland. What was I thinking?!
The demo for Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe is fantastic. The game is so colorful and looks great in handheld mode. I had a ton of fun with this demo. There are two levels to take on in the demo, but you can also try out some of Return to Dreamland’s min-games too. I did like the mini-games, but the levels are the big fan. This is classic 2D.5 Kirby fun. Kirby eats the enemies and gets their powers. If you enjoyed Kirby’s recent 3D adventure game, you should check this game out too. At least try the demo, which should let you know if you’ll like this too or not. I think you will though. Its so much fun.
Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe is coming out on February 24, 2023. Thats next week!
Octopath Traveler 2
I really liked the first Octopath Traveler. The battle system was classic and best of all, the graphics were absolutely beautiful. Somehow, Square Enix has improved on all of that with Octopath Traveler 2. In the demo, the battle system was better than ever. And the graphics blew my mind. So did the rest of the game!
I’ve tried out two of the characters so far: one is a young merchant who lives home to make his way in the world and the other is a young woman who is a Thief and just wants to be free to do her own thing. I liked both stories, but I think the Thief was a bit more fun because you steal items from people and also
