343 Industries has not officially announced its plans for aHalo Infinite battle royale mode. That hasn't prevented a variety of leaks surrounding the project from being shared online, however. The battle royale mode, codename Tatanka, is rumored to be arriving either with Halo Infinite Season 3 later this year or in early 2023. There's even a new leak revealing a Halo Infinite Tatanka menu that could indicate the battle royale's development is moving forward at an impressive rate.
The leak, shared online by the HaloHubGG Twitter account but left unsourced, includes an image but no additional context. The image shows what appears to be an in-game screenshot of a Halo Infinite menu. The menu features five different options, each for a different Tatanka battle royale queue. The queues available to select are for Tatanka Triples, Tatanka Quads, Tatanka 3P Test, Test Tatanka Triples, and Test Taanka FFA. There's also a quote along the bottom of the image reading, «Welcome to the Ring. Emerge victorious by being the last player standing.»

While no context is provided for the image, it's safe to draw a conclusion regarding where the image is from — or at least where it's supposed to look like it's from. The screenshot is assumedly from a test version of either Halo Infinite or the standalone Tatanka battle royale app. It's possible the Tatanka test is just a series of playlist options withinHalo Infinite, but it seems more likely Tatanka will be standalone like Call of Duty: Warzone, if only to help players manage their installation size.
