The endgame of Monster Hunter World came with the Iceborne expansion, and with it, Master Rank. This new difficulty level brought new monsters that drop new materials, with which you can make new weapons and armor.

Fey Wyvern Gems are one such Master Rank material, and they are required to make some valuable equipment based on monsters like Pukei-Pukei and Tzitzi-Ya-Ku. While they are rare acquisitions, there are a few ways to ensure you get as many as you possibly can. We can point you in the right direction, whether you want to use a quest with a 100% drop rate or focus on investigations with the best chance of success.
As with the vast majority of materials in the game, you can get Fey Wyvern Gems by hunting certain monsters. It's possible to get the gems from five different sources:
The table below details the chances of acquiring a Fey Wyvern Gem when hunting one of the monsters that drop them. In the Investigations column, the percentages are for Bronze, Silver, and Gold Investigations respectively.
From the table above we can see that Bronze rank Investigations into Yian Garuga or Scarred Yian Garuga will not have a chance of dropping a Fey Wyvern Gem, but Gold rank Investigations will have the best chance.
There are five quests in the game that may reward you with Fey Wyvern Gems, with one of them being a 100 percent chance.
The first two quests in this list have a five percent chance of dropping a Fey Wyvern Gem, and the quests to hunt a Yian Garuga and a Coral Pukei-Pukei have an 11 and eight percent chance, respectively.
