The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 beta allowed players to get their hands on the upcoming title for the first time. There was an array of playlists available including traditional 6v6 modes, Ground War, a third-person mode and more. However, one thing was noticeably missing. You may have been expecting to see a Marina Bay Grand Prix map, which the development team revealed in the summer. Since then, Infinity Ward has removed all traces of it without any notice. Now, a new leak claims that the Grand Prix map is coming back, and it could be available to play with the launch of Modern Warfare 2.
Marina Bay Grand Prix was first revealed when Infinity Ward shared some of the first details about Modern Warfare 2 during the Call of Duty League Championship Weekend live stream. Fans were treated to a fly through of the Grand Prix track map, which even had moving cars. The map was supposed to be played at the Call of Duty: Next event back in September, and it was expected to feature in the beta. However, all the information and videos Activision shared about the Marina Bay Grand Prix map were deleted.
According to prominent Call of Duty leaker, TheGhostOfHope, the Grand Prix map will be back and available to play when Modern Warfare 2 launches. They continue to explain that any problems involving the map have been resolved.
Without confirmation from Infinity Ward or Activision, we can’t say for sure if the Grand Prix map will be in Modern Warfare 2. As with most leaks, we’ll have to wait until the game launches on October 28. If you have pre-ordered the title, you will get a bunch of in-game items for doing so. In addition, you will get early access to the campaign from October 20.
