That doesn't come without its hiccups, as San Diego Studio has launched several Game Updates in the last three weeks, fixing persisting issues that plague various modes.
In the fourth Game Update in three weeks, developers hope to erase some of the game's more problematic issues while hoping nothing new arises in the process. MLB The Show 22 continues to release fresh content weekly, and the player base has called out for fixes to be made to be able to continue enjoying their progress.
Player Turns MLB The Show 22 Into Open World Game
In Game Update 4, one of the hilarious MLB The Show 22 bugs involving players T-posing after striking out is gone. Certain issues regarding the first baseman being unable to move in situations have been phased out, including their ability to catch pop-fly balls near the pitcher's mound. One puzzling fix added is the removal of check swings from beginner difficulty. While it doesn't do much to improve the overall gaming experience or help beginners adjust before the learning curve steepens, San Diego Studio claims the decision made is to help beginners become accustomed to the game. Check swings on their own are a good indicator of preventing a full swing from going through, avoiding a strike on pitches close to the strike zone.
Co-op mode received minor fixes relating to network errors when one player's controller becomes disconnected, causing players to see different loading screens upon starting a game.
