As one of the highest grossing video games of the last ten years, the open-world sandbox title has had a huge impact on the industry, with the studio continuing to pump out new updates and new content. With that in mind, many would think there's nothing left to discover, but there are still plenty of hints and tips that are finding their way into public knowledge.
In a recent video uploaded to YouTube, at the 7:15 mark, the Skip the Tutorial channel has identified yet more «hacks» which give players even more things to check out in this already enormous world. In this case, one of the tricks is related to one of the many potions of Minecraft, specifically the swiftness potion. According to the video, by drinking this concoction, increasing the FOV, and then increasing the view again in the options to Quake Pro, there's the potential to have rudimentary x-ray powers.

With the player in third-person and the field of view now incredibly high, the camera can be moved around to such an extent that, if pressed up against a wall, it's possible to see through to the other side. This can be handy if looking around in caves for openings or finding any hidden items. It's just a neat little trick that utilizes a common item and some jigging of the options to enable x-ray vision in Minecraft. There's also a way to make the potion, and therefore this newfound power, last longer using a beacon.
