The Midsummer Fire Festival celebrates the summer solstice with bonfires, dancing poles, and quests spanning Azeroth to honor their own faction's flames and steal those of rival cities. There is a festival area located in each major city, with quests, a Ribbon Pole for dancing. There are also opportunities to gain hour-long buffs to aid with your questing and purchase valuable stat food, as well as the Ahune encounter, which offers updated Level 80 Frostscythe of Lord Ahune and item level 232 Epic Cloaks. In addition, by completing the achievement The Flame Keeper, you'll earn the title and earn progress toward the meta-achievement What A Long, Strange Trip It's Been, which culminates with the Reins of the Violet Proto-Drake.
