Pokemon Unite is really going hard to celebrate the game's first anniversary. It was promised that more new additions would be entering the fray, and now the three Pokemon joining the game in September have been revealed to be Mew, Dodrio, and Scizor.
Mythical Pokemon Mew will be the first of the three added to Unite, and players will be tasked with unlocking it in a pretty unique way. Not using Aeos Coins, nor will Mew's license be free to everyone for a limited time. Instead, Unite players will be tasked with collecting mural fragments to unlock Mew. Where exactly those fragments can be found will presumably be revealed prior to Mew's arrival on September 2.

A little of what players can expect from Mew on the Unite battlefield has already been revealed. The new addition will have more learnable moves than any other Pokemon added to Unite so far. It will also be able to forget and re-learn moves throughout the course of a match. Following Mew into the fray will be Dodrio on September 14, and then Scizor two weeks after that on September 28.
Also shown in the trailer above, the three Pokemon will be joined by an all-new map next month called Thea Sky Ruins. Due to its high altitude, winds will blow through the ruins and affect Pokemon throughout matches, and a number of the wild Pokemon you encounter will be legendaries. A Legacy Trainer Showdown mode will also be added for a limited time on September 9, allowing players to battle against recognizable Pokemon trainers from other games.
