Metal: Hellsinger Will Allow Custom Music With Upcoming Mod Support
Metal: Hellsinger is already going to have a pretty amazing soundtrack thanks to the likes of Serj Tankian from System Of A Down, Trivium's Matt Heafy, Tatiana Shmayluk of Jinjer, and Arch Enemy's Alissa White-Gluz, just to name a few. But what if you could add your own personal soundtrack to your journey into hell?
Well, good news. Metal: Hellsinger isn't even out yet, but developer The Outsiders has just confirmed that "custom music modding support" is "coming soon to PC."

The Outsiders were probably thinking fans will add additional metal songs to Metal: Hellsinger, but music is music. There's nothing stopping you from creating a Hellsinger soundtrack that's a little... fluffier. Just imagine: Livin' La Vida Loca in hell? Maybe throw in some Toxic, Raining Men, or dare I even say it, some Weird Al Yankovic. He's getting a movie soon, so why not slay some demons to Amish Paradise?
We don’t know exactly how modding support will work, but it’s likely to be something along the same lines as making your own custom Guitar Hero song. It might even be easier as there’s really only one input that needs to be mapped to the beat.
For those who aren't quite metal enough to know, Metal: Hellsinger is the upcoming rhythm-based FPS where you blast demons to the beat. Do it right, and you'll become more powerful and increase your score multiplier. Do it wrong, and you'll wonder why your fireballs aren't melting faces like they used to. The game's soundtrack is full of metal-genre legends, and it's getting some pretty good reviews, including one from our own Ben Sledge.
