Based on the French comedy of the same name,The Valet features a myriad of heartwarming moments between genuine characters in its tale of Antonio (Eugenio Derbez) and Olivia's (Samara Weaving) pretend relationship. In the wake of a scandal that saw billionaire Vincent Royce, played by Max Greenfield cheat with Olivia on his wife Kathryn, played by Betsy Brandt, the figures' representatives organize the stunt to convince the public otherwise.
The Valet centers on family and working-class people in its narrative, highlighting the similarities that people share regardless of their societal status. Greenfield is widely recognized for his role as Schmidt in New Girl, while Brandt is best known for playing Marie Schrader in all five seasons of Breaking Bad.

Screen Rant interviewed Greenfield and Brandt about their takes on Vincent and Kathryn's rocky relationship and the film's overall message.
Screen Rant: This film has so many wholesome characters, but Max, you don't get to be wholesome. What was your experience like getting to play this entitled CEO?
Max Greenfield: I think entitled is a good way to articulate what Vincent was. Entitled, privileged, and I think that's what came into the idea of playing him. Rich and I talked about the fact that, to not make him the stereotypical bad guy or rich guy, I think what we tried to do was create a place where he could really, genuinely, be in love with these two women, and because of his backround, doesn't understand why he can't have both of them, and ultimately views himself as the victim of this whole story.
