With She-Hulk hitting Disney Plus for streaming soon, Hulk actor Mark Ruffalo is discussing the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and how Avengers: Secret Wars will forever change the MCU.
It was just unveiled at San Diego Comic-Con that the current era of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be known as the Multiverse Saga, which includes theShe-Hulk series. Most of the projects within the saga have been announced, but there is definitely room for more to be added to the roster before Avengers: Secret Wars ends the Multiverse saga.
Should The MCU Bring Back Normal, Angry Hulk?
In an interview with ET on the She-Hulk green carpet, Ruffalo touched on the possibility of World War Hulk, which has been rumored for a very long time. When Ruffalo was questioned about the idea of adapting the comic book tale into a film, the Avengers star said, “Anytime they want to do it, I’m here.” He went on to discuss the upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars film, teasing that it may be even more massive than the blockbuster film Avengers: Endgame. He said, “It’s gonna be hard to top Endgame. If I know Kevin and I know Marvel, it’s gonna be pretty amazing. And it’ll be a Big Bang…we’ll go out with the Big Bang.”
Back in October of 2021, a report claimed that Marvel Studios would begin to start production of a World War Hulk film in 2022, but there haven’t been any updates on this report. World War Hulk was also noticeably missing from the Phase 5 and Phase 6 lineup at San Diego Comic-Con. Still, with the Marvel Studios' D23 Expo presentation coming up soon, there is definitely a chance the film or even a Disney Plus series about the World War Hulk comic could be unveiled.
