Indeed, October is busy month for video game releases, particularly for the second half of the month, and Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope is arguably one of those leading the charge.
There's been a lot of hype around Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope since it was revealed, but it's become more and more palpable in recent weeks. The first game proved the odd crossover absolutely worked, and the second game is running away with that concept. For example, Ubisoft has confirmed Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope will get Rayman DLC eventually, and that's absolutely exciting for Rabbids fans.

Either way, while this trailer does not show any gameplay, there is plenty out there. Instead, Ubisoft set out to show off an impressive cinematic for its upcoming game, and it absolutely works. It shows the main antagonist of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, Cursa, as well as a number of the Rabbid and Mario enemies players will face, including Goombas and Bob-ombs. The combat is perhaps a little flourishy, but everything from the team jump and Mario shooting in the air and the various weapons and abilities all shown are possible in the game.
Really, where the trailer shined was its showcase of the various characters in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. All the OG characters are back except Yoshi and Rabbid Yoshi, but they are replaced with interesting new characters like the unique character Edge and the face-turn of Bowser.
