Man follows Google Maps, takes wrong turn, constable makes him sweep the road!
Violating traffic rules or taking wrong turns on the road will lead to a penalty. That is understood. But what happened to this man was shocking when he took the wrong turn while following Google Maps and was caught by a constable. A man has alleged that a Gurugram Police constable made him sweep the road for taking a wrong turn. As reported by PTI, Rohit Thomas in his complaint to police and the Recruit Training Center (RTC) authorities, alleged that he was going home by following Google Maps, and it took him to barriers of the RTC in Bhondsi, a restricted area. He claimed that he asked the constable if the road goes further, but he said no in response. So, he turned his vehicle to the direction he came from but suddenly the constable asked him to step out of the car. He further added that the moment he stepped out, the guard abused him and said that he brought mud with tyres of the car and forced him to sweep the road.
Dr Hanif Qureshi, the ADGP of the RTC has reportedly taken action and initiated a special inquiry by a DSP-rank officer. He stated that action will be taken as per law post the inquiry.
