Television personality and Mama June: From Not to Hot star June Shannon doesn’t disapprove of her 16-year-old daughter Alana «Honey Boo Boo» Thompson's high-profile romance with boyfriend Dralin Carswell but would love to see him secure a job. Alana, who became famous after starring in the kid pageant reality series, Toddlers & Tiaras, recently topped the headlines for different controversies due to the 4-year age difference between her and Dralin. Shortly after the teenager debuted her relationship on social media, many fans expressed their discomfort with it and urged her to reconsider.
However, while many people believed Alana's romance was illegal and Dralin, 20, should be jailed, it turned out that 16 is the age of consent in Georgia, making Alana eligible to give her lawful consent to sexual activities. Despite all the criticism Alana received online, she and her boyfriend continue to strengthen their romance. The young lovebirds were recently spotted spending time together at a park while they held hands and wore matching T-shirts. According to reports, Dralin attended a Nashville technical school and now lives near Alana and her sister Lauryn «Pumpkin» Shannon, 21.

While Alana's sister Lauryn approves of the romance, her mother June has her reservations about Dralin.
