Mad Maggie is finally making her way to the Apex Games. The latest "Stories from the Outlands" trailer confirms a character introduced over a year ago is about to make her debut as a playable character in Apex Legends.
You might remember Mad Maggie from Season 8's trailer, "Good as Gold." Back then, we were first introduced to Fuse and Maggie as childhood friends on the planet Salvo. Their friendly relationship turned into a bitter rivalry over the years that eventually ended with Maggie tossing a golden grenade that blew off Fuse's arm.

It seems after Fuse went to join the Apex Games, Maggie went from underworld kingpin to Salvo's "punk-rock warlord." Salvo used to be a free world in the Outlands, but the Syndicate's growing reach meant that Salvo soon came under its influence. To avoid bloodshed, Salvo agreed to join the Syndicate, but Maggie had other ideas.
Sedition, terrorism, sabotage, and a body count in the thousands eventually land Mad Maggie before a judge. She's sentenced to death by firing squad but is given a reprieve at the last moment from a mysterious bespectacled man named "Mr. Silva."
Although perhaps it's not so much of a reprieve as a rescheduling. Maggie is sentenced to join the Apex Games where she'll presumably meet her end at the hand of one of the other Legends--perhaps even her old friend, Fuse. The trailer ends with Maggie vowing to rend the Apex Games and continue her fight to free Salvo.
