This includes the reveal trailer for Kingdom Hearts 4, which saw Sora continuing his journey after the events of Kingdom Hearts 3. Alongside this was the surprise announcement of a mobile game known as Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link, which aims to be the titular missing link between various plot threads of the series.
The trailer for Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link shows off a number of elements, from a mysterious character wielding the No Name keyblade, to a white uniformed character in the middle of the game's town. The gameplay showcased in the trailer has combat that is more akin to the mainline console entries, fighting heartless in various locations with different characters. While fans wondered if it would involve multiple protagonists or character customization, series director Tetsuya Nomura confirms that elements of character creation will be present.

In an interview with Famitsu, Nomura revealed many pieces of information regarding these upcoming titles, including Kingdom Hearts: Missing Link. He confirms the main character seen in the trailer will represent the player, where they can create their own avatar. He notes that this character creation process is similar to another mobile game in the series, Kingdom Hearts Union X.
