With less than a week left before the Apple 'Far Out' launch event, which is set to be held on September 7, more new rumours are popping up regarding iPhone 14 Pro. Earlier, several leaks have informed that iPhone 14 Pro will be getting a pill and hole punch display. Now there is an addition to the same. According to the latest leaks, iPhone 14 Pro display cutouts could appear as a single long pill shape when turned on and will show camera plus microphone privacy indicators. It can be known that during the Apple launch event, the company is expected to launch 4 iPhone 14 models- iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro, and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
Coming to the latest leak, according to the information provided to MacRumors by an anonymous tipster, the discrete pill and hole cutouts are not visually separated when the display is powered on, but in fact appear as one contiguous, longer pill shape. "The suggestion is that Apple has chosen to turn off the pixels in the "dead space" between the cutouts in order to create the appearance of a unified pill shape that is less distracting when viewing content on the screen," a report by MacRumours said.
Meanwhile, another report by 9To5Mac has informed that the iPhone 14 Pro will apparently use software to make the two new display cutouts look like one seamless cutout. "A source with knowledge of Apple's plans tells 9to5Mac that the space between the two cutouts will be used to show privacy indicators for the microphone and camera. The change will also help with a redesign for the Camera app itself," the report said.
It can be known that Apple currently uses a small dot in the upper right corner of the display which turns orange or green when an application uses your iPhone's microphone
