It seems like customers are not happy with Flipkart despite the massive discounts and deals offered by the e-commerce giant. The Flipkart Big Billion Day Sale has been offering great discounts on smartphones, electronics, household appliances amongst other products. Flipkart is specifically giving away huge discounts on iPhones such as the iPhone 13, iPhone 12, iPhone 11 and many more. However, it was the iPhone 13 deal which caught the eye of millions of customers during initial days of sale.
The Flipkart sale started on September 23 and offered the iPhone 13 around the Rs. 50000 mark during the initial days of sale. As expected, the iPhones went flying off the shelves. However, over the past few days, customers have complained of their iPhone 13 orders even getting cancelled automatically without any explanation from the e-commerce platform.
Customers took to Twitter to vent their frustration. One user tweeted, “Booked iPhone 13 during the Big Billion Day Sale & was eagerly waiting for the delivery. The product was cancelled by the seller/ Flipkart without any explanation. Pathetic experience.”
Flipkart has now come out with a statement saying the orders were cancelled due to “anomalies”. A Flipkart spokesperson told India Today Tech, “Flipkart is a customer first ecommerce marketplace and always ensures that customers' interests are protected. As a customer focused ecommerce marketplace, we encourage sellers to prioritise the customers' orders and strive to keep them delighted with their service.”
The spokesperson further said that close to 70 percent of all iPhone orders have been successfully delivered.
The base 128GB variant of the iPhone 13 was selling for as low as Rs. 47000 during Day 1 of the Big Billion Days Sale.
