iPhone 13 has gone green! But not with envy, as you may assume (or it could be, since Samsung dropped three solid Galaxy S22 models). The iPhone 13 vanilla variants and the iPhone 13 Pro variants have got two new shades of green as part of their mid-cycle updates. This is more akin to the Purple variant of the iPhone 12 that was announced at the last Spring launch event. And as is the tradition, nothing else changes on these new green iPhone 13 models; not even the prices.
Hence, the green iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini continue to carry starting prices of Rs. 79,900 and Rs. 69,900 respectively. The Alpine Green iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max also start at Rs. 1,19,900 and Rs. 1,29,900. Note that the existing colour options continue on both the regular iPhone 13 and the iPhone 13 Pro models.
While the iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro wear new green colours, all the internal specifications continue to remain unchanged. That means the A15 Bionic chip continues to serve both these phones, albeit with different states of GPU. The iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini continue to have the same 60Hz OLED displays while the iPhone 13 Pro duo get the 120Hz ProMotion displays. Both phones continue to maintain the IP68 water and dust resistance certification.
While the iPhone 13 simply got a new colour, it was the iPhone SE 2022 that was the star of the March 8 Apple Event. As rumours had pointed out previously, the iPhone SE 3 is essentially an updated iPhone SE 2020 with the chipset of the iPhone 13. That means the phone gets support for 5G connectivity, which is a first for the iPhone SE range.
