Instagram is expanding the use of 'Product Tagging Feature' to all the users in the US over the next few months. Earlier, only Instagram business accounts or creators could tag the businesses for their products in their posts. But now, meta-owned social media has enabled the feature for all the users, who will be able to tag products from businesses for Instagram, TechCrunch report confirmed. According to Instagram, this expansion of the product tagging feature to all Instagram users will make it easier to find new products from their followers and will eventually help the businesses to boost growth on the platform, as they will get a notification whenever someone tags them.
“Scored a new pair of earrings from a small business you love? Tag the product in your Feed post so your friends and followers can learn more about the earrings and shop them,” TechCrunch quoted Instagram. It further says that people use Instagram to share and discover new ideas and trends. And this product tagging feature will allow small businesses to grow with their more reach of products via normal users. Ultimately, users will share how they style their looks along with the used products and hence it will work as a word of mouth promotion for small businesses.
