Insider Claims God Of War Ragnarok Won't Be Delayed Out Of 2022
2022 is potentially going to be a huge year for video game launches. A Breath Of The Wild sequel, Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League, and Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order 2, just to name a few. The problem is, even though all of those games have been confirmed to actually exist and be in development, the idea that they will be here before the end of the year is very much up in the air right now.
Another title that limbo status applies to is God Of War Ragnarok. The Sony sequel was officially revealed last year and slapped with a vague 2022 release date. Nothing much has been said about Kratos's next outing since then. That's why there's some very understandable concern that we won't be playing a new God Of War game until 2023.

While it is far from confirmation that that won't happen, an insider has done something to ease those worries slightly, and all that was needed was one word. Fans questioned whether Ragnarok might become a 2023 launch title on Reddit, prompting Bloomberg's Jason Schreier to step in with a well-timed “nope” in response to those concerns. Again, far from an official word from PlayStation that we've got nothing to fear, but perhaps the next best thing.
Horizon Forbidden West launched on PS4 and PS5 last week, marking the latest big exclusive on the consoles and the first of 2022. In theory, once the hype for Aloy's latest adventure has died down, PlayStation can shift its focus to its next big exclusive which is presumably Ragnarok. Different studios, of course, but PlayStation is the one pulling the strings. It will also want a big exclusive here in time for the holidays, and Ragnarok might well be it.
