Within the context of the Indiana Jones franchise, there's actually evidence to suggest that the titular adventurer could be an angel. Indiana Jones' titular hero has been many things over his cinematic history: archaeologist, professor, killer, and liberator of kidnapped children. However, there's actually evidence that Dr. Jones could be more than that — he could be an angel.
Taken at face value, it seems like utter nonsense. However, as one fan theory on Reddit points out, Indy drinks from the Holy Grail in his third film, which potentially gives him some sort of divine protection. Elaborating on this theory, and on other pieces of evidence from throughout the franchise, there's actually a possibility that Indy is an angel. While there's speculation that Indiana Jones 5 will end Indy's story, his first four films offer plenty of evidence to support the possibility.

Whether or not Indiana Jones is actually an angel is naturally not something that the franchise has addressed. However, with God's power being such a well-established plot point (it's part of the central premise of both Raiders of the Lost Ark and Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade), the existence of angels within the franchise seems equally plausible. It certainly adds an additional layer of context to the franchise, and there's enough evidence in each film to support the theory.
