In Chapter 3 of , one of your goals will be to beat the boss named Captain Wise-Voice, a huge beast inside a Shrine. This Yaoguai King is one of four bosses you are required to defeat to progress through the game's story. This enemy can be tricky to take down, as it has a lot of health, and you fight it in a cramped space.
As you explore Chapter 3 and gain better gear and transformations in , you'll run into Captain Wise-Voice inside the Mani Wheel Shrine. This monument is in the Pagoda Realm, at the end of a narrow rock path in the mountainous area. The boss will be stalking the small space inside the Shrine and will attack the moment you step foot in its territory.
Black Myth: Wukong covers a lot of ground in the course of its adventure, but it doesn't divide the experience into that many chapters overall.
Many of the attacks dealt by Captain Wise-Voice are imbued with elemental lightning, allowing the boss to inflict the Shock condition with certain moves. Shock is one of the more dangerous status conditions in, as it causes you to take more damage from attacks. Those without a Shock cure may have a hard time staying alive throughout the fight.
Upgrading your Gourd, drinks, or soaks may change your basic healing to cure Shock as well for the battle against Wise-Voice. Alternatively, you can also spend Mind Cores to permanently increase your Shock resistance stat with the NPC Xu Dog. The Celestial Medicine used to give you this lasting buff may be expensive, but you should have enough materials to purchase it by the time you reach Chapter 3.
Some improvements to your Gourd could help you cure shock but at the cost of less restoration to your health. Make sure to adjust your healing methods wisely in preparation for this boss.
It doesn't matter if you challenge Captain Wise-Voice before or after any of the other Yaoguai Kings in Chapter 3. You do not make this fight easier or harder by taking on other bosses in this part of the story, so approach any of them
