Sonic Origins is the latest collection of the classic Sonic titles, compiling Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic CD, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, and Sonic 3 & Knuckles.
The new release abandons the standard emulation of past ports in favor of accurately rebuilding all of the games within the Retro Engine, along with a new coin system in its Anniversary mode and other changes such as the addition of the drop dash.
A Mission mode happens to be one of the new features in Sonic Origins. This mode takes players through uniquely designed courses based on various zones from each of the Sonic games featured within the compilation.
